WP has improved greatly over the last 6-8 months. Prior to 2008, it was looking a bit dodgy, particularly with security holes. Now though they’ve done superb with the recent updates - it’s a lot more secure, more easy to use, and soon with (hopefully) automatic updates.

In my opinion, Wordpress is hands down the best blogging platform out there. It has great options and a lot of people developing for it. You can find it on any host. Its easy to set up and post as well.

Great post, thanks for the info. Great info on why and how to use WordPress. I’m especially interested in #3 on your list, and being able to use it as more of a website that doesn’t have to look like a blog. Thanks again - and I guess I a little more work and research to do now.
