In the case of images for the blog header, what you have to do is to upload your own image to overwite the image in the blog&#039;s theme. If you name it the same and upload it to the right folder in the theme you&#039;ll be OK.

You can&#039;t (easily) FTP images into the media library. If you want to upload images via FTP make a note of where you have uploaded them (I create a subfolder called &#039;images&#039; in my blog&#039;s root directory) and you can then insert the image in your posts by linking to its URL. This works just like it would on a website.
